I recently had the opportunity to work with Moon Rabbit and Tarsus during their Innovation Day event as a brainstorming artist, helping teams transform fast-moving ideas into visual concepts in real time.

Innovation Day focused on collaboration, ideation, and creative problem-solving. Multiple breakout groups worked through challenges and opportunities, then shared their ideas during report-out sessions. My role as a brainstorming artist was to listen carefully, synthesize ideas quickly, and create live visuals that captured the energy and direction of each conversation.

Using visual note-taking and live sketching techniques, I translated spoken ideas into engaging visuals that helped participants see connections, identify patterns, and better communicate their thinking. Instead of ideas living only as notes on flip charts or large pads, the concepts became dynamic visual summaries that everyone could engage with immediately.

As a sketch artist and graphic recorder, speed and clarity are essential. During the session, I rapidly visualized the ideation coming from each breakout group, creating illustrations that reflected both the strategic thinking and the creative energy in the room. This type of live visual note-taking helps organizations retain ideas, increase engagement, and create a memorable experience for participants.

One of the most rewarding parts of the event was hearing the feedback afterward. Danny from Moon Rabbit shared this review:

“Andrea from Inkforma was amazing and fast in creating live sketches during our ideation session. He helped bring ideas to life that would usually only sit as words on a large pad. I highly recommend graphic recording and Inkforma to do it for you.”

Events like Innovation Day demonstrate the value of having a brainstorming artist present during collaborative sessions. Whether through graphic recording, live illustration, or visual note-taking, translating conversations into visuals helps teams communicate more effectively and keeps ideas alive long after the meeting ends.

Thank you to Moon Rabbit and Tarsus for inviting Inkforma to support such an inspiring and creative event.
